She is and outstanding student selected and nominated by her teachers as the Elkmont High School representative for the Bryant-Jordan Scholar-Athlete Award. A committee of school principals choose the area winners and a committee of school administrators in each region then select the regional winners. The overall and class winners will be selected by a statewide committee comprised of school administrators and state business leaders.
