HOWARD J. MARTIN - OBITUARY

Howard J. Martin, 85 of Elkmont, Alabama died on Saturday, February 4, 2017, at his home. Born Monday, August 10, 1931 in Limestone County, Alabama, he was the son of the late William Richard Martin and the late Nannie B Mitchell Martin. He loved his family and greatly enjoyed farming. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son: Michael Martin, and brothers and sisters: Ruby Martin Brooks, Kenneth Martin, Bobby Martin, Billy Martin, and Charles Martin.

Surviving are his wife: Audra Mae Bond Martin of Elkmont, AL, son, Randell (Wanda) Martin of Ardmore, AL, daughters, Ivra (Kermett) Nelson of Moulton, AL and Pam (Robert Wilkinson) Martin of Hartselle, AL, daughter-in-law: Shirley Martin of Ardmore, AL, brothers and sisters: JW Martin of Montgomery, AL, Peggy Martin Magnusson of Ardmore, AL, David Martin of Louisville, KY, Donnie Martin of Ardmore, AL, and Barry Martin of Louisville, KY, grandchildren: Jennifer Martin, Melissa Martin Sims, Anthony Martin, Jeff Martin, Kelly Nelson Duque, Kyle Nelson, and Kody Nelson, and 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews and cousins.

Funeral services was at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Gary Williams officiating. Burial was in Antioch Cemetery, Elkmont, AL. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
