The Decatur Daily has released its all area team for 2017 today. Daniel Valencia was recognized for an outstanding season by any standards by a spot on the first team. He's 42 goals were the second-highest total in the state this season and ranked No. 8 in the country. He led the Red Devils to the Limestone County Tournament championship and a spot in the state playoffs (only 16 teams got to go). Daniel should have been selected for the all state team. His season was that good.
