Stephanie
Faith Russell and Joseph Charles Dowd both of Elkmont were married in a
5:30 ceremony September 21, 2013 at the home of David and Vicky Dowd
with Steve Ferguson officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Royce
Russell and Rhonda Russell both of Athens. Her grandparents are Mr. and
Mrs. Hollis Blankenship, Mr. and Mrs. Bobie Russell and Mrs. Joyce
England and the late Dewey England. The groom is the son of David and
Vicky Dowd and his grandparents are Helen Carter, Elkmont and Betty
Dowd, Trafford and the late Kenny Carter and the late David Dowd Sr.
The bride was given in marriage by her father Royce Russell.
The matron
of honor was Brianna Smith. Bridal attendants were: Autumn Barnes,
Amber Funkhouser, Paige Miller and Kristen White. Honorary flower
girls: Hayley and Gabrielle Felix. Father of the groom David Dowd II
served as best man. Groomsmen were: Michael Carter, Jonathan Carter,
Chris Dowd, Landon Lawrence and Josh Maples. The ring bearer was Tyler
Dowd. Music was provided by Jacob Frank, violinist.
A reception followed
the ceremony at the home of the Dowd's. Servers were Cindy Adams,
Diane Pettitt, Kathy Britt and Rhonda Spry. The Wedding Planner was
Ronnie Sims. After a wedding trip to Jamaica the couple returned home
to Elkmont.
