James Alton Turner Jr., 55 of Elkmont, died Monday at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. Mr. Turner was born January 26, 1960 in Lawrence County,
Alabama, he was a member of Majestic Chapel in Elkmont, a U.S. Army
Veteran, he was a retired welder and a sound man & drummer for many
gospel groups. Preceded in death by Parents: Jimmy & Gladys Turner.
Survivors: Shirley W. Turner of Elkmont
Brothers: Ronald
William Turner and wife Shelia of Moulton, Anthony Harley Turner and
wife Lisa of Russellville
Sister: Connie Elizabeth Hood and husband
Rickey of Moulton
Clay Harley Turner and several other Nieces and
Nephews.
Services will be 10AM Thursday at Majestic Chapel, body will
lie in state from 9 AM until service, with Mike Webster officiating,
burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery with full military honors, visitation
is from 6-9 PM Wednesday at Spry Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to St. Thomas Hospital-West in Nashville, Tennessee.
