Loy Marion Hendrix, 82 of Toney, Alabama died on Sunday, June 22, 2014, at his home.
Born Tuesday, August 4, 1931, in Cobb County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Earl Hendrix and the late Ollie Dickson Hendrix. He enjoyed woodworking, doing chores around the farm, and electrical hobbies. He was a member of Toney United Methodist Church and a Veteran of the US Air Force, serving in Korea. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister: Bonnie Hendrix, brothers: Kenneth, Alford, and JD Hendrix, a daughter-in-law: Kelly, and a brother-in-law: Horace Moore.

Surviving are his wife: Sarah Hendrix of Toney, AL, sons, Doug (Shari) Hendrix of Madison, AL, Tim Hendrix of Taft, TN and Chuck (Theresa) Hendrix of Madison, AL, brothers, Robert Hendrix of Temple, GA, Donald (Shirley) Hendrix of Elkmont, AL and Mike (Shirley) Hendrix of Dallas, TX, sister, Doris Moore of Douglasville, GA and three grandchildren: Nathan, Jayna, and Drew.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, June 27, 2014, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Gentiva Hospice or Toney United Methodist Church.
