ELKMONT ELEMENTARY FIELD DAY - MAY13

Field Day is a special day for kids in K-6. They get to participate in fun and exciting activities such as Moon Bounce, Potato Sack race, Egg Carry, and ending with a game of Tug  of War to determine the champion in each grade level. 

Field Day is on May 13 and parents are encouraged to join your child at this event. Parents and some students may volunteer to help Coach Pugh and Coach Clem with concessions and ticket sales. Hope you all enjoy the day and have tons of fun! The Hill Spirit fondly remembers attending when the kids were that age. You won't regret taking the time to share the day with your child.

BARRY'S CORNER
Two kindergarten boys were talking in line. One says to me "Is field day two days away?" Me: "Yes." Boy one: "Is that a short time or long time?" Me: " It is according if you are a teacher or not....long if you're me". Boy one: "I can't wait for field day!" Enter boy two: "What's field day?" Boy one: "I don't really know. My mom says it's just another way to get her money." Kids....gotta love 'em!
