Attention history-lovers, Limestone County Archivist Rebekah Davis will speak Thursday about the Battle of Sulphur Creek Trestle. Fought in 1864 during the Civil War, the battle took place near Elkmont. The free event at Alabama Veterans Museum, 100 W. Pryor St., Athens, will begin at 6 p.m.
