HELP CLEAN UP THE ELK RIVER - CANCELLED

ELK RIVER CLEANUP UPDATE: Due to predicted weather conditions on Saturday, March 10th, TVA and KALB have decided to cancel the Elk River Cleanup for safety reasons. KALB and TVA will team up on May 12th for a Trash Attack which will include all roadsides and public lands in Athens and Limestone County. We hope you'll join us for that event.

Each spring, KALB holds an Elk River Canoe & Kayak Trail Cleanup in an effort to remove debris from our beautiful river and surrounding land areas. TVA has, once again, agreed to sponsor this event. The Team Challenge will be offered again this year!

Sign-ups for the Elk River Canoe & Kayak Trail Cleanup are underway. Interested parties can join KALB and other volunteers Saturday, March 10 to clean up Elk River, both on the water and surrounding land areas. Supplies, door prizes and a complimentary lunch provided. No trash weighing or hauling. Work until noon and your name will be entered into a drawing for prizes. More information, register and reserve a lunch at 256-233-8000 or email KALBCares@gmail.com.
