ELKMONT SOCCER PLAYS RAIN OR SHINE

Elkmont's most formidable opponent this week was Mother Nature. Thanks to a torrential downpour at West Morgan, the Red Devils found themselves in the (mud)hole, 6-1, when the game was suspended due to lightning just prior to halftime. 

The game resumed under sunny skies on Thursday, with the Red Devils falling to the Rebels 8-1. Danny Valencia scored Elkmont's only goal. 

Between the two West Morgan halves, Tanner managed to find the net with seconds left in Tuesday's game, locking Elkmont into a 2-2 tie. Juan Mendoza and Valencia scored for Elkmont. 

Senior night is tonight, against Clements at Ardmore City Park at 6:30 pm. Elkmont will honor two incredibly talented soccer players that night, team captains Valencia and Alex Alvarado.
