Elkmont won two big area matches this week, defeating Mars Hill, 7-3 and Athens Bible School, 10-0. Goalie Tee Boyd had a big game against Mars Hill, registering 11 saves.
Danny Valencia scored two goals and had two assists while Juan Mendoza added a goal and two assists.
Alex Alvarado, Matthew Lowery, Luis Valencia, and Mark Pena each added a goal while Santiago Altamirano and Ronaldo Aguilar registered assists.
Danny Valencia was on fire against Athens Bible School, finding the back of the net six times and adding an assist.
Valencia was joined in the scoring column by Nehemias Vicente, Mendoza, Benton McNatt, and Rafael Aguilar. Vicente, Alvarado, Luis Valencia, and Rafael Aguilar also had assists.
In a less stressful evening, Boyd registered two saves in the shut out against the Trojans. Elkmont takes on the Ardmore Tigers' varsity team on Thursday night.
