Linda Gayle Martin Williams, age 74 of Elkmont, died October 13 at Huntsville Hospital. Mrs. Williams was born December 25, 1943, in Limestone County. She was a member of Pettusville Church of Christ. She was a wife and mother who helped her husband manage their farm, and she ran John & Linda's Greenhouse for many years.
Services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 17 at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Ronnie Holt officiating. Visitation was Wednesday from noon until service time. Burial was in Hodges Cemetery. Pallbearers were John A. Williams Jr., Justin Williams, Travis Williams, Tad Harris, Will Harris and Doug Campbell.
Survivors include:
John A. Williams Sr. of Elkmont; sons, John A. Williams Jr. and wife, Cindy, of Elkmont and Travis Williams of Athens; daughter, Pam Harris and husband Tad of Athens; grandchildren, Kasey Williams, Will Harris and fiancee Emily Leopard, Katie Harris, and Justin Williams; sister, Frances Pressnell of Tanner; brother, Granville Martin of Athens; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by father, William Marvin (Jack) Martin; mother, Bernice Yarbrough Martin; and brothers, Morris Martin and Larry Martin.
