The funeral for Clara Coffman Hicks, 95, of Elkmont will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Spry Funeral Home with A. Ray Blankenship and Kevin Ward officiating. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery.
Visitation is from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hicks passed away Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at home.
Clara Hicks was born March 11, 1916, in Limestone County. She was a homemaker and a member of Salem United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, T.J. and Grace Coffman; husband, James Hicks; brothers, Clayton, Carl and J.C. Coffman; and sisters, Clura Goodin and Carrie Parrish.
Survivors include daughters, Fay Lauderdale of Athens, Gayle Vaughn of the Cartwright community and Jeanette Holden of Salem; sons, Billy Hicks of Green Cove Springs, Fla., Allen Hicks, Jimmy Hicks and Ricky Hicks, all of Salem, and Steve Hicks of Grassy; sister, Carnell Thorne of Athens; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will be pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be her sons.
Memorials can be made to Hospice of Limestone County.
