The funeral for Brenda Goode Miller Kretchmar, 53, of Athens will be at 2 p.m. today at McConnell Funeral Home with Anthony Perry officiating. Burial will be in Bottoms Cemetery. Visitation is from 11 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Kretchmar passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.
Brenda Kretchmar was born Sept. 16, 1958, in Limestone County to Dorris Gene Goode and Martha Gene Goode Vessels.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Dwight Vessels; stepmother, Mable Goode; and one sister, Regenia Stevenson.
Survivors include one son, Barry Walter “Pee Wee” Miller Jr. and wife Dawn of Elkmont; one daughter, Brenigan Nicole Miller and fiancé Ryan Gunther of Athens; her mother, Martha “Peggy” Vessels of Athens; father, Gene Goode of Athens; two sisters, Jan Price and Lori Whitt, both of Ardmore; three grandchildren, Dagen Miller, Butler Miller and Matthew Gunther.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Hampton, Brant Posey, Richie McKinney, David Posey, Tanner Stevenson and Billy Ray Morris
