Mr. Walker was born May 16, 1947 in Water Valley Mississippi to Jesse James Walker and Mattie Brewer Walker. Services for Mr. Walker are Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be Friday, March 9, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in Sardis Springs Cemetery with Tim Keenum and Charles Simmons officiating. Mr. Walker was a member of Sardis Springs Baptist Church. He was retired from the U.S. Navy and was an avid sportsman and fisherman. He is survived by his wife, Rose A. Walker; daughter, Carey Graves and husband John; son, Steven Walker; grandchildren, John Robert Graves, Jacob Graves, Elizabeth Graves, Joseph Graves and Lilian Walker; brother, Willie D. “Buddy” Walker and wife Carolyn. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Jimmy Walker, sisters, Quay Samuels and Anna Lou Freeman. Pallbearers are Darryl Brock, Billy Underwood, Terry Watkins, Sonny Moore, John D. Baily and Roger Barnes. |
