He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved to work, especially in his garden. He loved his God and his church. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister: Sandra Gail Smith. Surviving are his wife: Joyce Barnes Moore of Elkmont, AL; son, Philip (Penny) Moore of Elkmont, AL; brother, J.B. Moore of Elkmont, AL; sisters: Ruby Joe Martin of Elkmont, AL, and Barbara Gates of Ardmore, AL; grandchildren: Tina (Steven) Seay of Ardmore, AL, Anna Hargrove of Ardmore, AL, and Walter Samuel Moore of Elkmont, AL; and great-grandchildren: Noah Seay, Austin Seay, Harley Hargrove, and Gracie Hargrove. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Mike Morelan officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Ardmore, AL. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
