Royce Russell and Rhonda DeAngelis of Athens announce the engagement of their daughter, Stephanie Faith Russell of Elkmont, to Joseph Charles Dowd of Elkmont, son of David and Vicky Dowd of Elkmont.
The bride elect is the granddaughter of Joyce England of Athens; Boby & Linda Russell of Athens and Hollis & Connie Blankenship of Elkmont. She is a 2008 graduate of Elkmont High School. She is employed by Dr. B.C. Sahu as a receptionist.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Helen Carter, Elkmont; Betty Dowd, Trafford, AL and Kenneth Carter (deceased); David Dowd Sr. (deceased). He is a 2008 graduate of Elkmont High School and a 2012 graduate of UAHuntsville where he received a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is employed by Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation as a System Safety Engineer. The wedding is planned for September 21, 2013 at the home of David and Vickie Dowd in Elkmont.
