WHAT DOES YOUR SENATORS THINK ABOUT SYRIA?

SENATOR JEFF SESSIONS:

In a statement, Senator Sessions says:

"I look forward to the initiation of a very serious- and overdue- discussion in Congress about Syria and our broader strategy in the chaotic Middle East. It is critical that the Administration articulate a clear national policy as we contemplate further involvement in this dangerous and complex region. Certainly the American people are correct to be concerned about our position in the Middle East, particularly our seeming lack of any clear strategy or purpose."

SENATOR RICHARD SHELBY:

In a statement, Senator Shelby says:
"I will oppose the use of military force in Syria.  President Obama has failed to articulate a clear American interest in this conflict,” Shelby said. “He has also failed to clearly explain what he intends to achieve and how he intends to achieve it. And he has failed to assure me that an attack would not further destabilize an already unstable part of the world.”
