BILLY HUGH WORTHY - OBITUARY

Billy Hugh Worthy “Bro. Billy” age 84 of Elkmont, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2015. Bro. Worthy was born October 21, 1930 in Clay County, AL to Walter Grady Worthy and Effie Edene Green Worthy.

Services will be Thursday, February 19, 2015 11:00 a.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Gary Hawley officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.

Bro. Worthy was a Baptist minister for 64 years, serving churches in Alabama, Tennessee and Michigan.

Survived by his wife, Jewel Worthy of Elkmont; two sons, Jeff Worthy of Holly Pond, Al and Tim Worthy of Elkmont, AL; two daughters, Kayla Worthy Paul and husband, Kevin of Albuquerque, NM and Brenda Worthy Robinson and husband, Randy of High Point, NC; two sisters, Edene Hanner of Clay County, AL and Bobbie Jean Willingham and husband, Owell of Jacksonville, AL; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jon Worthy, Grayson Warren, Gabriel Paul, Benn Collins, Kevin Paul and Bobby Taylor.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Limestone County or Gideons.
