Lois was born Sept. 28, 1929, in Limestone County, to Marvin Flannagan and Carrie Coffman Flannagan. She died January 29, 2015. Preceding her in death were her parents; son, Chris Chambers; grandson, Thomas Chambers; and stepson, James Chambers.
Survivors include:
Sons, Ronald Chambers and Barry Chambers, both of Athens; stepson, Malon Chambers of Athens; two daughters, Sharon Smith of Decatur and Terry Lee Marie of Athens; stepdaughter, Shirley Rucker and husband Glen of Elkmont; brother, Johnny Flannagan and wife Linda of Winter Haven, Florida; three sisters, Mary Ellen, Evelyn and Elizabeth, all of Decatur; four grandsons; and six great-grandchildren.
