Services will be Friday, February 27, 2015 2:00 p.m. at Central Church of Christ with Bill Perkins and Jason Owen officiating. The body will lie-in-state from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Visitation will be Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Gilliam was a member of Central Church of Christ. She was a graduate of UAB School of Nursing, and Board of Certified Nursing. Mrs. Gilliam was a Pediatric Nurse, and held honors from Pediatric Board of Nursing at UAB. She was self employed at Central Pediatrics in Athens, AL as a CRNP.
Survived by her husband, Jimmy Gilliam of Lester; two sons, Brody Gilliam and Gentry Gilliam both of Lester; mother, Deanie Britton of Athens; two brothers, Steve Britton (former basketball coach at Elkmont) and wife, Mona of Anderson and Rodney Britton and wife, Tammy of Athens; two sisters, Pam Christopher and husband, Cliff of Athens and LeaAnn McBay and husband, Blake of Rogersville, AL.
Pallbearers will be Britt Christopher, Ryne Britton, Zac McBay, Trent Britton, Will Britton, Joshua Campbell, Zack Campbell, T.J. Crouch, Braden Campbell, Peyton Coleman and Justin Rudolph. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Crowell and staff at Central Pediatrics.
