RED FLAG WARNING ADDED

Not only do we have a wind chill advisory
and a winter storm watch, now we also have a red flag warning.  Please think of our fire department today; don't start any fires outside. Yesterday had them out fighting a building fire and this week has a good chance of being plenty tough as well.

You don't want to be the reason this happens to our fire department

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN HUNTSVILLE HAS ISSUED A RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 6 PM CST SUNDAY FOR ELKMONT

* IMPACTS...ANY FIRES THAT DEVELOP WILL LIKELY SPREAD RAPIDLY OUTDOOR BURNING IS NOT RECOMMENDED.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A RED FLAG WARNING MEANS THAT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EITHER OCCURRING NOW...OR WILL SHORTLY. LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY OVER A PROLONGED PERIOD WILL INCREASE FIRE GROWTH POTENTIAL.
