BLUE RIBBON FINALIST

Elkmont has so many talented young people in our midst.  One is Alli Griffis, seventh grader at Elkmont Middle School, she loves photography and creates works of art with her camera.  She is the daughter of Kevin and Amy Griffis. This morning she found out that she is a Blue Ribbon Finalist for a contest held by The Huntsville Museum of Art!

She entered this picture that she made during her visit to Yellowstone National Park last summer. There will be an award ceremony and gallery opening held by the ASCA (Alabama State Council of the Arts) VAA (Visual Arts Achievement) for District V at The Huntsville Museum of Art in March to kick off Youth Art Month. Alli's photo will be on display in the museum's Great Hall!  Elkmont had several students enter the contest and we are proud of each one of them.
