Ross Andrew King Jr., 82, of Athens, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at Limestone Health Facility. Mr. King was born Nov. 13, 1932, in Limestone County to Ross Andrew King Sr. and Rachel Evelyn Foster King. He retired from Monsanto Chemicals in 1995. He was a member of a Southern Baptist Church.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Monday, March 9, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Greg King and Bill Irby officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. Monday prior to the service. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, J.B. King; and one grandson, Ryan Ross Carroll. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Nell King of Athens; two sons, Tim King of Athens and Greg King and wife Melinda of Athens; one daughter, Teresa Carroll and husband Don of Clarksville, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Braden Carroll, Josh King, Bethany Vera and Evan Carroll; one great-grandson, Sebastian Vera; one brother, Thomas King and wife Bobbie of Elkmont; one sister, Christine Craig and husband Robert of Athens; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Curtis King, Mark Craig, Donald King, Josh King, Daniel Tarpley and Joey King. Honorary pallbearer will be Braden Carroll.
