is featuring the Athens-Limestone Public Library Foundation is planning a benefit luncheon for Saturday, March 14, with a food-centric theme.

“Cooking for Books” will feature Tasia Malakasis, owner of Elkmont’s artisanal cheese store Belle Chevre. Malakasis is slated to release her new cookbook, “Southern Made Fresh,” and sign copies for diners. The book will officially launch March 10.
“Cooking for Books” begins at 11:30 a.m. and lasts until 1:30 p.m. in the library’s community room. Tickets are $100 each and only 70 will be sold. Half of each ticket sale will benefit the library and the diner will get a tax receipt for the donation.
