RAIN, RAIN, GO AWAY

Our Elkmont spring teams have had little opportunity to play and it doesn't look like it is going to get any better until next week. With the snow, ice and now all the rain, the already short spring schedule has lost three weeks of games. There will be lots of rescheduling to come so please be patient with the coaches and the ever changing schedules.  They are very unhappy about the situation too.

ANOTHER ROUND OF HEAVY RAINFALL MAY INCREASE THE RISK OF CREEK AND RIVER FLOODING LATE THIS WEEK...

A GREATER THREAT FOR FLOODING WILL DEVELOP FROM THURSDAY THROUGH FRIDAY NIGHT...AS A STEADY STREAM OF TROPICAL MOISTURE AND RAIN
WILL RETURN TO THE REGION AHEAD OF A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM TRACKING FROM THE NORTHWEST GULF COAST INTO THE OHIO VALLEY.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES AREEXPECTED ACROSS THE AREA. WITH SOILS ALREADY SATURATED...THE ADDITIONAL RAINFALL WILL INCREASE RUNOFF POTENTIAL AND LEAD TO AN ELEVATED THREAT FOR FLOODING,
ESPECIALLY ALONG CREEKS AND RIVERS.
