WHAT IS ON THE BALLOT? AMENDMENT 1

is to support the reform act recently passed that requires Circuit Clerks and District Attorneys to pay into their retirement system.  Hill Spirit normally votes no on amendments but this one will require circuit clerks and district attorneys to pay into their state retirement if we vote YES.  If this doesn't pass, they will continue to get a free ride unlike other state employees.

The way it is worded on the ballot is misleading. Makes it seem like an entirely new retirement system. When in reality, they are replacing a larger one with a smaller one.
