Yesterday, the varsity Red Devils started the County Tournament with a bang, defeating Clements 9-1. Weather permitting, Elkmont will take on Tanner at 6:00 pm today at Clements in the second round of the tournament.
The Lady Devils beat Ardmore in a nailbiter, 2-1. They will be playing today against East Limestone in the second round of the county tournament.
The JV Red Devils lost a hard fought battle at Discovery by a final score of 4-1. Eliseo Nava went the length of the field to score Elkmont's only goal.
Goalie Van Hamlin had five saves in the first half while Christian Smith registered four saves in the second half. The JV Red Devils' next game is March 30 at 5:30 pm at Monrovia.
