The funeral for Billie Earl Williams, 72, of Athens, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Spry Funeral Home with James Waddell officiating. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.
Mr. Williams died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. He was born Oct. 3, 1939, in Ridgely, Tenn., to Horace and Wayconia Williams. He was a Baptist, an Army veteran and a retired millwright.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Sue Williams of Athens; one son, Michael Williams and wife Tamera of Athens; one daughter, Jacquelyn Colbert and husband Nathan of Elkmont; one brother, Wayne Williams and wife Joyce of Hornbeak, Tenn.; one sister, Joyce Burks and husband Jim of St. Augustine, Fla.; and five granddaughters.
Pallbearers will be Charles Black, Charlie Coffman, Terry Hodges, Anthony Laguna, Corey Southward and Steve Hardy.
