Mrs. Compton died Friday, April 11, 2014, at Limestone Health Facility. She was born March 7, 1926, in Limestone County to George Washington Taylor and Lizzie Mae Turner. She was a member of Elkmont United Methodist Church. She was very involved in the Elkmont Senior Center. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with family.
She is survived by her son, Tracy Compton, and wife Kelly; one daughter, Terri Davidson, and husband ,John, three grandchildren, Brook White, Breah Davidson and Rebecca Compton; two great-grandchildren, Ansley White and Elijah White; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Thomas Compton; her parents; a sister, Louise Elliot, and brother, George Malcom Taylor.
Pallbearers will be Harold Elliot, Larry Davis, Phil Bailey, Dicky Hobbs, Gary Compton, and Ronnie Christ
