WEATHER THIS MONTH?

I have been hearing some interesting things for our neck of the woods this April from my favorite weather site, Weatherbell.com - Wanted to share with my Elkmont neighbors.

This week - chance of severe weather Thursday night and Friday

Mid next week - major cold snap; might want to hold off planting those tomatoes and peppers to April 15.
"The strong buckling next week is a foregone conclusion now, and I think the details on how the storm will work out are up for debate. However what is not is the major buckling and surge of enough cold into the southeast to warrant concern that the warmth that is coaxing the plants to come out is going to be reversed in a way where a damaging freeze can occur abnormally far south. Again, the outbreak in early April 2007 comes to mind, for those living there."

This is where tornadoes are most likely  this time of year.

Mid thru late April - fight between cold in the North and warmth in Southeast - Severe Weather season may get very exciting around here. Might want to do some checking to see how well prepared you are for power outages.
