ELKMONT SENIOR SCHOLAR BOWL TEAM COMES IN SECOND

The Senior Scholar Bowl teams from the county high schools competed in the Limestone County Tournament, April 15.   Our Elkmont team came in second in the scholar bowl competition.

We had more points overall but Ardmore and our team each had one loss so the head to head rule came into play.   This rule is used as a tie breaker when teams are tied.  Ardmore had beaten the Red Devils earlier in the day so our team was awarded the Limestone County Runner-up Trophy.  Congrads to the Elkmont Senior Scholar Bowl team for their strong showing.

Elkmont captain Michael Farris, the county’s defending high scorer, finished with the most cumulative points after six rounds of play, including the high scorer round.

Team high scorers also included Tanner’s Josh Lovett, West’s Blake Bennett, East’s Wade Cribbs and Paul Smith, Elkmont’s Cole Cook and Clements’ Cade Oligee and Zane Oligee.
