Services will be Wednesday, November 26, 2014 2:00 p.m., at Church of Living God with Doug Coldwell officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 25, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Reunion Cemetery. Limestone Chapel Funeral Home assisting the family.
Mr. Mears was a member of Church of Living God.
Survived by his wife, Debra Kay Mears of Elkmont; four sons, Samuel Kyle and wife, Cindy, Joseph Mears and wife, Julie, Christopher Mears and wife, Jessica all of Elkmont, Cody Mears and wife, Heather of Fayetteville, TN; seven grandchildren, Jasmine Kyle, Troy Kyle, Brianna Kyle, Christopher Jordon Mears, Hunter Mears, Bentley Mears and Clover Mears; three brothers, Melvin Mears and wife, Gail of Lacon, AL, Dwight Mears and wife, Julie of Athens.
Pallbearers will be Larry McCurry, Jason Kyle, Alex Kyle, Andrew Beck, Gary Lamour and Joshua McLemore.
