WHAT'S FOR SUPPER?

On October 28, 2014, the Lauderdale County Cattlemen’s Association held the annual Beef Cook-Off. Seven schools participated. Athens High School FACS Department hosted the event. There were two categories, Junior High and Senior High Divisions. The first place winners will represent Limestone County at the State Cook-Off in Montgomery. 

The Limestone Cattlemen’s Association gives $50 to each 1^st place winner, $45 to teach 2^nd place winner and $30 to each 3^rd place winner. Each teacher received a $75 Beef Certificate to the Piggly Wiggly in Elkmont. 

The winners were as follows: Junior Division:

1^st Stacia Benford, Athens

2^nd Victoria Kraus, Clements

3^rd Alex Hite, East Limestone

Senior Division:

1^st Preston Taylor, East Limestone

2^nd Haley Scott, Ardmore

3^rd Savannah McKnight, Elkmont.
