TIME TO VOTE TUESDAY

Heard a radio spot yesterday encouraging people to vote a straight ticket.  Hill Spirit has never agreed with that idea but believes that you should vote for the best candidate.  If someone has done a good job in elected office and you are happy with their work, it makes no sense to vote them out because of party.

Please take time to study the people running, make the best decision you can and then it always helps to pray that you make a good choice.  If you aren't a person of faith,  the
first two steps are still wise advice.

Only if there isn't a dime's worth of difference between the candidates, does the Hill Spirit vote by party lines.

*Please remember that it is your responsibility as a citizen to vote, don't let what you hear on the radio or tv discourage you from voting for the candidates of your choice.

When you go to vote in the Tuesday’s general election, here is a last-minute reminder from Probate Judge Charles Woodroof.

• Bring a valid photo I.D. to the polls. Although the new, photo-I.D. law took effect earlier this year, those who did not vote in this year’s primary election may not know about the new requirement, Woodroof said.
