TIME TO SAY GOODBYE

The Elkmont fall sports season is over and it is time to recognize our seniors who made this year special.

Football:

Jacob Anderson – Jacob is the son of Phillip and Tabitha Anderson.  Jacob has been a member of the Varsity Football Team for four years. Jacob is a member of SKILLS USA at the Career Technical Center where he is enrolled in Collision Repair. In the fall, he plans to attend Calhoun Community College to pursue a trade in Collision Repair. 

 

Jared Bailey – Jared is the son of Kevin and Missy Bailey.  He has been a member of the Varsity Football, Basketball, and Baseball teams for the past four years.  Jared was selected as a Class Favorite for the Senior Class.  On campus, he is a member of the Senior Beta Club, FCA, and Spanish Club.  He is also a member of Holland’s this year.   His future plans are to attend college and continue playing sports. 

Hunter Brazeal – Hunter is the son of Roy and Michele Brazeal.  He has been a member of the Varsity Football and Baseball teams for the past four years.  Hunter is a member of the Senior Beta Club, FCA, Mu Alpha Theta, FFA, and Spanish Club.  He attends Elkmont United Methodist Church.  Hunter enjoys the outdoors, hunting and fishing.  After high School, Hunter plans to attend Auburn University to pursue a degree in Poultry Science. 

 

Joshua Carter – Joshua is the son of Michael and Melissa Carter.  He has been a member of the Varsity Football, Basketball, and Baseball Teams for four years. Joshua is a member of FCA and Spanish Club. When not on campus, Joshua is an active volunteer for the Elkmont Fire Department.  After high school, he plans to attend college and earn a degree in Public Administration, which in turn will allow him to become a full-time fire fighter and fire investigator.

Kody Clark – Kody is the son of Becky Powers and Keith Clark.  He has been a member of the Varsity Football Team for four years. Kody is a member of the Senior Beta Club, Spanish Club, and FCA.  Kody is member of the Truth Baptist Church.   After high school, Kody plans to attend college and pursue a degree in Biochemistry. 

 

Justis Glenn – Justis is the son of Mary Garrison and Marlan Lindsey.  He has been a member of the Varsity Football Team for one year.  Justis is a member of FCA and Spanish Club.  In the fall, he plans to attend college but still undecided on a degree.

Alexis Hernandez – Alexis is the son of Juan and Maria Hernandez.  He has been a member of the Varsity Football team for the past three years.  Alexis is a member of FCA and Spanish Club.  In the fall, Alexis plans to attend Faulkner University to play football and pursue a degree in business management.   

Austin Moore – Austin is the son of Marco and Nicole Johnson.  He has been a member of the Varsity Football Team for four years.  Austin is a member of the FCA.  He plans to attend UNA in the fall.
 

Preston Rouse – Preston is the son of Michael and Monica Rouse.  He has been a member of the Varsity Football and Basketball teams for two years.  Preston is a member of the Senior Beta Club, FCA, and Spanish Club.  His future plans are to attend college and pursue a degree in the medical field. 

Jared Smallwood –Jared is the son of Paul and Anita DeGrave.  He has been a member of the Varsity Football Team for three years.  Jared is a member of FCA, SKILLS USA at Tech School.  Jared is an active member of his youth group at Bridge Valley Church.  He plans to attend Calhoun Community College to pursue a trade in HVAC.

Brent Stovall –Brent is the son of Steve and Tracie Stovall.  He has been a member of the Varsity Football Team for four years.  Brent is a member of Senior Beta Club, Spanish Club, and FCA.  He plans to enlist in the military after high school and get a degree.

Drew Thompson –Drew is the son of Sandra Thompson and Eric Hertzig.  He has been a member of the Varsity Football Team for three years.  Drew is a member of FFA.  He plans to attend college in the fall.

Mike Tucker –Mike is the son of Pamela Tucker and Chris Tucker.  He has been a member of the Varsity Football Team for four years.  He is a member of the Senior Beta Club, Spanish Club, and FCA.  Mike is also on the First National Bank Student Advisory Board.  Mike would like to attend college and play football or pursue a military career with the United States Marine Corp. 

Eli Vining – Eli is the son of Mickey and Amanda Vining.  He has been a member of the Varsity Football team for four years and the Varsity Baseball team for three years.  Eli is a member of FCA and Spanish Club.  He attends Sardis Springs Baptist Church where he takes an active part in the youth.  Eli enjoys being outdoors, hunting and fishing.  His future plans are to attend college but still undecided about a degree.

Kaleb Wallace – Kaleb is the son of Tonya Wallace.  He has been a member of the Varsity Football team for three years and the Varsity Baseball team for two years.  Kaleb is a member of the Senior Beta Club, FCA, and Spanish Club.  His future plans are to attend college and pursue a degree in the dental field. 

Jonathan Williams – Jon Jon is the son of Lynn Williams and the late Dennis Williams.  He has been a member of the Varsity Football Team for four years and Varsity Basketball team for two years.  Jon Jon is a member of  FCA and Spanish Club.  He attends Round Island Baptist Church.  His future plans are to attend college and pursue a degree in Criminal Justice.

Cheerleaders

 

Rachel Adams – Rachel is the daughter of Jerry and Susan Adams.  Rachel has been a Varsity Cheerleader for 4 years.  She is a member of the Senior Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta, Spanish Club, and FCCLA.  Rachel is also a member of the National Society of High School Scholars.  She is active in her youth group at Elkmont United Methodist Church. Her future plans are to attend college and pursue a degree in Biology and eventually attend Medical School, where she wants to specialize in Pediatrics. 

Montana Ray – Montana is the daughter of Amy Berzett and Devin Ray. Montana has been a Varsity cheerleader for 4 years.   She is a member of the Senior Beta Club and Spanish Club. Montana is a member of the Blackburn Road Baptist Church, where she takes a leadership role in the children’s worship service on Sundays.   In November, she will be participating in a mission trip to Kentucky to help feed the homeless people for Thanksgiving. Next fall she plans to pursue a career in cosmetology at the Paul Mitchell School. 

Tori Williams – Tori is the daughter of Brian and Lora Williams Tori has been a varsity cheerleader for 5 years.  She is a member of the Senior Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta, and Spanish Club.  She was elected Senior Class President and serves on the Limestone County Senate.   Tori is also a member of the T.R.A.I.L. leadership organization.  She attends Elkmont United Methodist Church, where she sings in the choir and is an active member of the youth group.  After high school, Tori plans to attend college to pursue a degree in education.  

Cross Country

Jacob Ezell –Jacob is the son of Chuck and Jackie Ezell.  He has been a member of the Cross Country and Track teams for the past 3 years.  He is a member of the Senior Beta Club and FFA.  Jacob plans to attend Calhoun Community College in the fall.

Samantha Pressnell – Samantha is the daughter of Dennis and Karen Pressnell.   Samantha has been a member of the Elkmont Cross Country and Track teams for the past three years.  On campus, Samantha is a member of the Senior Beta Club, Spanish Club, Mu Alpha Theta, and FCCLA.  She also serves on the First National Bank Student Advisory Board, and for the past ten years, she has taken an active role in the Limestone County Gifted Program.  After high school, she plans to attend the University of Alabama in Birmingham to pursue a degree in Accounting, with a specialization in Forensic Accounting, and minor in Information Technology.  

Volleyball

 Bailee Gooch – Bailee is the daughter of Ricky and Pam Gooch.   Bailee has been a member of the Varsity Volleyball, Baskeball, and Softball teams for four years.  She is a member of the Senior Beta Club, Spanish Club, Mu Alpha Theta, FCA, FCCLA, and HOSA.  Bailee is a member of the Blackburn Road Baptist Church, where she is very active in her youth group.  In November, she will be participating in a mission trip to Kentucky to help feed the homeless for Thanksgiving. In the fall, Bailee plans to attend Calhoun Community College to pursue a degree in the Neonatal Nursing Program.

Caila Norman – Caila is the daughter of Joe and Brandie Norman.  Caila has been a member of the Varsity Volleyball and Softball teams for four years.  She is a member of the Senior Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta, Spanish Club, and FCA.  In the fall, Caila plans to attend Calhoun Community College for two years and transfer to Athens State University to pursue a degree in education.

Band 

Sierra Boley – Sierra is the daughter of Shane Boley and Connie Johnson.  She has been a member of the Color Guard for one year.  For the past four years, she has taken an active role in the Limestone County Gifted Program.  After high school, Sierra plans to attend college and pursue a degree in radiology. 

Hunter Ennis – Hunter is the son of Shane Ennis and Amanda Edgemon.  He has been a member of the Marching for five years and Concert Band for four years.  Hunter is a member of the Senior Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta, and Spanish Club.  In the fall, he plans to attend UNA to pursue a degree in Psychology.

Kayla Hardyman – Kayla is the daughter of Bill and Pam Hardyman.  Kayla has been a member of the Marching Band for four years and Concert Band for six years.  Kayla had the honor of participating in Auburn University’s Honor Marching Band this fall during one of their halftime performances.  Kayla has participated in the UNA Band Extravaganza.  She is a member of Senior Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta, FCCLA,  and FCA.  Her plans are to attend UNA in the fall and major in music education and voice education.

Harley Jackson – Harley is the daughter of James and Kelley Lambert.  Harley has been a member of the Marching Band for five years and Concert Band for six years.  Harley is a member of the Senior Beta Club.  In the fall, she plans to attend college and major in psychology.

Tea Richardson – Tea is the daughter of Resenda Barrera. She has been a member of the Color Guard for one year.  Tea is a member of the Senior Beta Club and FCCLA.  In the fall, she plans to move to Mobile, Alabama and attend college at the University of South Alabama.

Averie Van Antwerp – Averie is the daughter of Kimberly and Todd Stephenson.  She has been a member of the Color Guard for three years, where she currently serves as Captain.  Averie is a member of the Spanish Club.  After high school, Averie plans to become a graphic artist and work on major motion films. 

Cody Wagner – Cody is the son of Tom and Melody Wagner.  He has been a member of the Marching Band for five years and Concert Band for six years.  Cody is also a member of the Limestone County Honor Band and the UNA Extravaganza.  Cody has been a member of the Senior Beta Club, Spanish Club, and First Priority. He plans to attend UNA in the fall to pursue a degree in Music. 

Madysen Witt – Madysen is the daughter of Jesse Witt and Amanda Hawson.  She has been a member of the Color Guard for the past year.  Madysen attends Elkmont United Methodist Church where she is very active in the youth group.  Madysen plans to attend UNA and begin a career in cosmetology.
