Each year a young lady is selected from the senior class to be a Miss Merry Christmas representative from each high school in the county. This year's Elkmont Miss Merry Christmas is Caila Norman.Caila is the daughter of Joe and Brandie Norman. Caila has been a member of the Varsity Volleyball and Softball teams for four years. She is a member of the Senior Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta, Spanish Club, and FCA. In the fall, Caila plans to attend Calhoun Community College for two years and transfer to Athens State University to pursue a degree in education.
Our Miss Merry Christmas makes her first appearance in the Athens Christmas Parade this Thursday, December 4, @ 6 pm. Caila will be in the Elkmont Christmas Parade this Saturday. Be sure to wave when she passes by.
