SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT - NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE


...LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS POSSIBLE OVER 
PORTIONS OF THE TENNESSEE VALLEY FROM EARLY 
TUESDAY MORNING THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON...

A STORM SYSTEM WILL BRING A VERY COLD AIRMASS 
ACROSS THE TENNESSEE VALLEY BY TONIGHT AND 
TUESDAY...ALONG WITH SCATTERED SNOW SHOWERS.
THE SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE DAY 
ON TUESDAY...BEFORE TAPERING OFF BY TUESDAY 
EVENING. NORTHWEST AND NORTH CENTRAL ALABAMA
WILL SEE SNOWFALL AMOUNTS FROM A HALF TO LESS 
THAN AN INCH. 

TEMPERATURES SHOULD GENERALLY REMAIN AT OR 
SLIGHTLY BELOW FREEZING DURING THE DAY ON 
TUESDAY...WITH A FEW SLICK SPOTS BECOMING 
POSSIBLE ON TUESDAY DUE TO THE SNOW SHOWERS. 
THE SLICK SPOTS WILL BE ESPECIALLY ALONG 
BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES BY TUESDAY MORNING...
CONTINUING THROUGH THE DAY. 
CAUTION WHILE DRIVING IS ADVISED.
