Christopher Shane Mitchell, age 28 of Athens died Saturday at Athens Limestone Hospital. Shane was born August 8, 1987 in Limestone County, a 2006 graduate of Elkmont High School, and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Shane loved life, and maintained a positive attitude, he was the proud Uncle to Izzy.
Graveside services will Tuesday at 3 PM at Roselawn Cemetery, with Dan Hughes and Joe Teal officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church , or Canine Companions for Independence, Orlando, Florida.
Survivors include, Mother, Deborah Mitchell of Athens. Sister, Nikki Mitchell of Athens. Grandmothers, Janice Parr of Athens, and Loretta Walker of Philadelphia, Mississippi. He is survived by several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins, he was preceded in death by, Father, Wayne Mitchell, and by his Grandfathers, Malcolm Parr, and Billy Ray Walker.
