The Elkmont Red Devil
Marching Band traveled on Oct. 24 to attend the Athens High School Marching
Competition. They performed their Halftime Show "Queen Extravaganza"
which includes the songs "Don't Stop Me Now", "Bohemian
Rhapsody" and "We Are The Champions".
For those that aren't
sure how judging happens, here is a small description. Each portion of the band
is judged separately and they get their own score. Each score is compared to
all the others in each division to determine "Best In Class" (which
is the highest score in that group). The score given range from 1 (Being the
highest) - 3 (Being the lowest).

Band received a 1
They also received
some "Best In Class" which includes Drum Major-Christina Stacy,
Soloist-Benton Ferguson , and Color Guard. This was the last competition for
our Elkmont Band this fall . There isn’t
a better way to end the year than with Straight Ones and some Great Best In
Class. Thanks to everyone for their support of our kids and the Elkmont Red
Devil Marching Band.
