*Funeral service for Martha Jean Daly, age 80 of Athens, will be Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 1 p.m. at McConnell Memorial Chapel with Peter van Eys officiating. *Visitation will be Tuesday, May 9, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
Martha Jean Daly was born April 6, 1937 in Limestone County to William Noble Daly and Lou Ella Headricks Daly. She was a member of Ardmore United Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters: Virginia College, Sue Aycock and Peggy Ghee; five brothers: John Daly, Billy "Nit" Daly, Joe Daly, Jerry Daly and Jerome Daly.
Survivors include: four sisters, Betty Willis of Elkmont; Weaver Jane Powers of Athens; Mary Anita Daly of Decatur; Wilma Austin of Athens; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Lynn Daly, Bryan Willis, Brannon Willis, Landon Willis, Grant Willis, Todd Willis, Gregory Ghee and Roger King.
