HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS... APRIL 30 - MAY 3

FRIDAY:

  • Congratulations to the 4th and 5th grade Scholars' Bowl Team for becoming the 2011-2012 Champions. Congratuolations to Riley Cook for being the top scorer.
  • Volleyball try-outs will be Monday - Thursday of next week after school until 5:30 in New Gym. All paper work must be in order for you to try-out.
  • Softball plays today in the Area Tournament. Players will be meeting in lobby in the New Gym at 11:30.

THURSDAY;

  • There will be no CARE Program after school today.
  • There will be no golf practice after school today.


TUESDAY:
  • 4th, 5th, and 6th grade Scholars' Bowl will be Wednesday, May 2 right after school 4:00..
  • Congratulations to the varsity boys' golf team, which was one of only four teams in yesterday's 3A Sectional match at Cullman Municipal to qualify for sub state. They will play Monday at Gunter's Landing in Guntersville in th 3A/4A substate tournament.

MONDAY:
  • Boxtop Winners are: Thea Hamlin, Christian Smith, and Katelyn Todd.
  • Varsity girls basketball tryouts for grades 8-11 will be May 14-16 in the new gym from 3:30-5:30. Please see Coach Bates for forms that will be needed.
  • 4th, 5th, and 6th grade Scholars' Bowl Practice will be Wednesday, May 2 right after school until 4:00.
  • Middle School Boys: Mandatory Parent/Player meeting tonight at 6:00 in the new gym.
  • There will be a meeting tonight at 7pm in the new gym for all boys and their parents who want to play varsity football.
  • In SKILLS USA Matt Newsom won 1st place in Carpentry and will be going to Kansas City, and Morgan Garris won state office.
  • Volleyball sign ups will continue this week, and try-outs will be May 7-11.
  • Congratulations to the track team at Sectionals this weekend.
  • Tyler Helms qualified for state in the 2 mile. Lillian Adell qualified in the 100 meter. Imani Davis qualified in the 200 meter. Sammi Jo Pressnell qualified in the 1 mile and 2 mile, and she was named to the All Section Team with a 3rd place finish in the 2 mile.
  • State is Friday and Saturday in Selma.
