MUCH NEEDED RAIN.. WHAT COMES NEXT

Showers and storms will increase in coverage early Thursday morning for all areas of North Alabama and southern Tennessee.

Some of the thunderstorms will produce locally heavy rain, strong gusty winds and significant lightning.  The threat for any organized severe weather is low.

The  warmth of the front 5 days will reverse the following ten and the pattern actually grows  quite wet in this area of the country in a more widespread fashion  which should enhance rains tonight but  further east than where they have  been. However, as one can see on the  16 day  precip chart, there is alot of wet weather on the way in this area

and temperatures from the week ending next Thursday  cool quite  a bit  for the week ending the  15th

so a  big reversal is on the way and with it more wet weather for the entire areas.
