I'M GOING TO DISNEY....RUNNING RED DEVILS

Our cross country team is off to run in the 18th annual Disney Cross Country Classic.  The Running Red Devils have been planning and working hard for months to be able to go on this trip.  Wish them the best of luck, safe journey and lots of fun.  Hoping that our cross country reporter is able to send us updates and always look forward to those cross country photos.  Our runners may be on ESPN3 next Saturday.

Coach Pugh's Corner:
XC teams will be heading to Disney to compete in the ESPN Wide World of Sports classic this week. Hard to believe that we started in 2006 with just 4 runners! We are now 28 strong and contenders in every race we enter. These athletes will be competing with teams from all over the country. Can't wait to see them get to run in this venue. A lot of people have helped us along the way. Janet Parham Long, was there when we started up along with Gina Miller, and of course the best assistant Dale Miller. Their kids Austin, Jackson, and Hayden Miller all paved the way along with Janet's Kelley. These kids hard work has moved Elkmont XC a long way! Thanks to all and wish us good luck!

This popular annual event attracts numerous Colleges, High Schools, and Middle Schools from around the country. The fast 5K and 8K courses provide athletes a variety of terrain and a unique view of ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
