The Bandits (a travel team made up of Alabama and Tennessee players) have won the age 12 and under Alabama State Championship in Hoover, October 20 - 21. They had worked really hard in practice on their fundamentals this fall and it paid off. They were undefeated in the state tourney until the semi finals. The Bandits took on the Kryptonite which handed them a loss and a trip to the losers' bracket. The Bandits stepped up and won their bracket, sending them to the championship game for another chance at the Kryptonite. Since they came out of the loser bracket, they had to win twice to earn the gold. The Bandits weren't willing to accept second place, turned the double wins and brought that championship trophy home to Northern Alabama.
