THOMAS EDWIN SCOTT - OBITUARY

The funeral service for Mr. Thomas Edwin Scott, age 72 of Anderson, will be Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 11 a.m. at McConnell Memorial Chapel with Chuck Hood officiating.  The visitation will be Wednesday, October 16, 2013 from 6 – 9 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, in Goodsprings, AL.

Mr. Scott died Monday, October 14, 2013 at Athens Limestone Hospital. He was born January 24, 1941 in Limestone County to Authur and Mamie Daly Scott. He worked at Martin Industry until their closing. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, and he loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. During his retired years, he enjoyed farming, spending his mornings at Goodsprings Grocery Store, and being a vendor at Dog Day in Ardmore, TN.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Frances Hargrove Scott; Sons, Mark Scott and wife Barbara of Anderson; Max Scott and wife Beverly of Anderson; Tony Scott and wife Tammy of Salem; daughter, Donna Scott Eddy of Athens; brothers, Dalton Scott of Athens; Stanley Scott of Elkmont; sister, Sarah Moore of Anderson; grandchildren, Jonathan Scott of Anderson; Josh Scott of Anderson; Dustin Scott of Anderson; Matthew Eddy of Athens; Tiffany Scott of Salem; Travis Scott of Salem; Michael Eddy of Athens; Autumn Scott of Anderson; great-grandchildren, Cody Scott and Cali Scott both of Athens.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jonathan Scott, Josh Scott, Dustin Scott, Travis Scott, Matthew Eddy, and Michael Eddy.
