Betty Jean McNeil, 74 of Hazel Green, Alabama died on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at her home.  Born Friday, February 16, 1940 in Ardmore, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late A D Lewter and the late Mary Moran Lewter. She was a lifelong resident of this area and loved flowers and working puzzles.

Surviving are sons, Barry Joe McNeil of Pulaski, TN and Timothy Lynn McNeil of Pulaski, TN, daughters, Belinda Gullant of Hazel Green, AL and Cindy Kent of Hazel Green, AL, brother, A D Lewter, Jr. of Elkmont, AL, sisters, Dorothy Bragg of Decatur, AL and Faye Pritchard of Ardmore, AL, grandchildren: Richard Kent, Lenny Kent, Amanda Kent, Angie Locker, Jason Melton, Michael Melton, and Bobby Joe Melton, and great-grandchildren: Hunter Locker, Weston Locker, Jordon Bolton, Jules Melton, and Bryson Melton.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, January 9, 2015, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
