WHAT ABOUT THE NEXT SIX WEEKS?

It has been cold since October with a few warm days scattered in.  There haven't had any snow but a few flakes for the Elkmont snow geese.  Yes, there are some of us who love a good snow once a year.  So far, they are still looking for those 4 inches of snow; good for snow cream, taking a snow day with sledding and snowmen.

It is supposed to be 57 today and a nice week of 50ish weather, with it starting to cool as the week goes on.  It's those warm January days that give us hope Spring isn't but a few weeks away with thoughts of early gardens.

What does the maps say for the next few weeks?  It looks like it will get cold again the last week of January and first few weeks of February and then cool into the first of March.  However, Hill Spirit is interested in the possible snow map. There is still hope for the snow geese; snow is just hard to predict.

Blue is 2-6 inches; purple 6-9 and we won't talk about the pink stuff.  This is what is possible from now to February 16.  Elkmont is in about the 2-3 inch range.
