Plants that need lots of light usually look weak, gangly and yellowish when they do not get enough. If you have sun-worshipping plants like geraniums, jade plants, ficus and cacti, get a cardboard box big enough to house your plants. Cut off the top of the box and one of the sides. Then line the inside of the box with aluminum foil—shiny side out. Put the plants inside the box and then place it near the window. The foil will enhance the reflection of the sun. It will be time to start tomato seedings soon. I always have trouble getting strong, thick plants to set out in the spring. I'm going to try this. |
