                                                        Tough Week for Red Devils

The Elkmont Red Devils started last week ranked #7 in the 3A state rankings.  However they went 1-2 last week and played poorly in all three games.  The week started with a lackluster 50-40 win over Danville.  Cole Glass led the way with 20 points and 7 rebounds.  Elkmont then traveled to Tanner and lost 50-30.  No Red Devil player scored in double figures.  The week ended with a home loss to West Limestone 45-31.  Again no Red Devil player scored in double figures.

Observations:  Elkmont did not play like a good team last week.  They shot very poorly and the offense was painful at times.  All teams go through slumps, but it is getting late in the season and the Red Devils must pull out of their slump quickly if they are going to be successful in the playoffs.  On the positive side, the team is still playing hard and playing excellent defense.  If they can improve on offense, they can get back to playing well.

Prediction:  The Dust Devil predicts that Elkmont recovers and upsets East Limestone on Tuesday and beats West Morgan on Friday.
